Prize of the tour
The prize of the tour is finding ourselves surrounded by a mass of tourists with the look a bit empty, that I knew to be mostly Italian, for whom there is no difference between the Van Gogh museum and a bathtub; the only activity of their visit is wandering through the city from a coffee shop to another in search of who-knows-what, remaining then unconsciously bored and disappointed by the unhealthy routine in which they chain theirselves. Fatigue is their dimension, nothing is their goal. Obviously at the evening the streets are stained with broken bottles, used tissues, chewing gums and other amenities they leave as an effective indication of their passage.

For this there is not much to do in Amsterdam; we do not have time for major museums, and walking into town is not pleasant nor interesting; history repeats itself more or less the same everywhere, and unfortunately we never find flashes of real creativity. The inventions of Berlin, Copenhagen or even Rotterdam, seen from here, are only distant memories. Apart from the neighborhood of our hotel, which is a different story for its quiet charm. The next time I visit it again calmly.

In the evening we board for the return to home, without major regrets about not being able to prolong our stay. Amsterdam should do something to reduce the load of charlatan tourism, shake off its image of a false transgression - which now is still, old and decrepit - and invent something new. Come on!
