We are in Holland!
The day winds between: lakes with bathing prohibition but also with the surf zone (?), including an original cable system that pulls the surfers between jumps and fast corners; meadows; cows; I do not remember anything else.

Arriving at the border, however, we feel that something changes. They will be the roofs of the houses made of reeds, will be the bad boys on a motorbike without helmet or with helmet on the elbow, will be who knows what... We are in the same plain, and yet beyond this imaginary line the world is different from that which had accompanied us since the Alps.

There's no longer even a shadow of borders, but now, only now, we feel we have traveled a lot and have arrived in a distant land. Not very very distant, but distant.

It passes a small town, and its center is pedestrian, well equipped and full of shops very illuminated as a metropolis. It comes another one, and it's the same thing. In the second one we look for the overnight: here we encounter first a hotel at the beginning, then do all the rounds including the station, and there is no other. But this is a quite big city so you can see several buildings with HOTEL signs, but they are all closed (!). At the station there is a Mercury something, but it's on business level, not Penny Market. So we return to the first, which is still quite expensive.
