Today we do only one thing: walking.
The main shopping road, which is the link between our hotel and the center; some imperial buildings; the Austrian Parliament; the large avenues of the Ring... Danube area and its large parks,instead, will be right for a next trip.
Around midday, the empty chairs of an empty square are a perfect place to relax, waiting for a show which will not be...
[...obviously, that show was scheduled for the evening :)]
Vienna is a powerful town, but it seems to look its importance with serenity. Some citizens are, however, maybe a bit stressed... and underground metro stations are not pieces of art as it was in Munich!
In the evening, long walk till Kahlemberg, a panoramic hill suggested by the guide. We arrive quite late at the top, but there are still few minutes before the disappearing of the sun; so we find ourselves in a little square, quite high, from which we see a large panorama. From so far, the skyscrapers of Vienna seem boxes of matches. That hill is a real countryside, with vineyards everywhere.
