Metropolis.
Another fast day. Wind from rear, flat way, good surface and large views on Danube. We go fast!
So fast that I find also the time for a fine slip at the exit from a curve, on a wooden bridge. Little scratch plus carrier which is bent, but I straighten it and proceed. I foresee the phenomenon said "work-hardening": in fact as soon as I will be returned home in Italy it will break.
The river town Tulln is a nice touristic place: we don't stop, to reach Vienna as soon as possible, but that town looks really attractive.
Arriving at the limits of Vienna, we look for an accomodation calling the phone numbers of central hotels which were written in my guide; all of them have no place, except some a bit expensive; we fix a room in one of them, which is not so expensive in reality because it includes a good breakfast.

Vienna is a metropolis. After 12 days of country and small towns, it's a sort of shock. High buildings, traffic, noise and traffic lights everywhere. We must pay attention! Anyway, looking better, the net of urban cycle paths of Vienna make us reach the hotel with no traffic risks, apart from the last 100 or 200 meters after the Westbahnhof.
So here we are! In Vienna, after more than 1000 km of cycling!! Nice walking to see some central roads, and return not so late, for a long sleeping. Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow will be complete urban relax...
