After Passau, Danube Cycle Path is our way. Flat, with a good surface, sometimes in open road but with very low traffic. After some curves along the river, the surprise: a ferry-boat dedicated to bikes! It is to surpass a narrow passage with no roads, because of steep mountains which are too close to the riverside.
The waiting for the next boat is a relax which is to be tasted slowly, minute by minute. There is a real sun too (not pale this time). There are tens of bikers waiting, the boat hardly contains all of us but in some ways we are there, inside the water. Looking waves, canoes, boats, and houses passing slowly is the best way to proceed in those fourty minutes, after all those days of cycling.
Linz is a town which, at the first sight, seems a bit standard; however, the park along Danube is super. In the center, at supermarket, we meet a group of around ten-twelve cycle travellers from Munich. They are very friendly and happy. They don't need campings: meadows along the river are good to place their camp.
Our camping, along Danube, is crowded with European bikers, but has some problem. During the ordinary storm of the middle of the night, ground becomes a swimming-pool. I pull my tent outside, as it is, slowly. Bathrooms' building is the only one repair for all the unlucky travellers. After the storm, in the tent and sleeping again.
